Check Your Status part (1)
According to the word “Status” it simply means; a person’s condition, position, or standing relative to that of others; Prestige or high standing; A situation or state of affairs; The legal condition of a person or thing.
From the day old, the word Status had been established throughout God our creator. God laid emphasis on status severally in the scripture about keeping His words, commandment, statues, laws, etc.
I will portray the topic from the book of lamentation from chapter 1 downward. From vs1 ‘How doth the city sit solitary that was full of people? How is she become as a widow! She that was great among the nation, and princess among the provinces, how is she become tributary!
Situation arises whereby you are like a city that has many people who surrounds you, not only to surrounds you, but also serves as support and benefactor for you. But it happens a day when you seek for people to come to your aid and rescue, is a pity nobody is able to show for you; Instead you are being brought reproach and shame because those people that surrounds you were nowhere to be found.
Checking your status simply means checking your life, ways of life (doing things), how consistence and perseverance are you towards the goals that has been set ahead of you.
“…that was full of people! How is she become as a widow! ...” Talking about ‘city’ simply means a place that is large like a settlement. A city can be liken unto wisdom, riches, fortune and wealth etc. those that had wisdom, riches, fortune and wealth are those that are like a city which are encamped or surrounded by people and commands authority. People from far and near will like to associate with them because of what they carry (their potential) and what is at hand for them.
“But talking about ‘widow’ simply means generally a woman whose husband has dead. Illustrating about widow here is like losing your position of honor, dignity, your riches, fortune, wealth, and your wisdom or anything that brings fame to you being lost.
You that has once been a genius in your career that nobody whosoever might be is able to defeat you in any way, but now you have become defeated. For instance, Goliath that has been the champion of the philistines troubling the life of the people of Israelites – thinking he has arisen and now on the top of the world – nobody present or after feel able to tackle or defeat him in any way.  It happens this day that one boy called David arose to confront this champion of the philistine that has been causing harm and lambasting the God’s of the Israelites. And this boy with the sling of stone in his hand killed the mighty warrior of the philistines and the name of the Lord God Jehovah is being known throughout the whole providences.
Are you still the champion of today or yesterday? Have you once being on the top of world, now nowhere to be found? Have you once ruling all the affairs of the world with your power and authority like pharaoh, now nowhere to be found? Have you once had wisdom that you are extra-ordinary in all areas of life receiving different Nobel prizes and different competitive awards, but now seems you know anything again – you that can compose songs that millions of people will be converted a day, but now it has become things of old? Are you once full and embedded with the genuine fruit, gift and power of the Holy Spirit, but now you have lost everything like Saul whose once speaks in tongue and possessed by the Spirit of God and being in cordial relationship with God, that same God said to him ‘’that I have dethrone you as a king over the people of Israel and I have rent (tore) your kingdom”. A leader that carries the vessel of the almighty God – possessed with divine Spirit of God that destroyed every satanic spirit, eradicate those soothsayers, magicians, and astrologers etc. Now being the same person running and chasing after them.
