Your Divine Access Key

PRAYER: YOUR DIVINE ACCESS KEY!
"And so it was, when king Hezekiah heard it, that he tore his clothes, covered himself with sackcloth, and went into the house of the Lord... And they said to him, "Thus says Hezekiah: 'This day is a day of trouble, and rebuke, and blasphemy; for the children have come to birth, but there is no strength to bring them forth. 'It may be that the Lord your God will hear all the words of the Rabshakeh, whom his master the king of Assyria has sent to reproach the living God, and will rebuke the words which the Lord your God has heard. Therefore lift up your prayer for the remnant that is left.'" 2king.19:1-4.
I've written several times in my previous messages about prayer, its importance and power, but the more I study my Bible, the more it appears very significant, indispensable, and inexhaustible to our Christian life and the eternal home we are aspiring for.
Prayer is indeed the master key, according to the lyrics of that popular song. I've not seen anyone in the Bible and in our contemporary time, who truly fulfill his course on earth and obtain a good report without prayer.
Among many christian literature books and magazines I've been privileged to read, none of the authors ever complete their stories without stressing more on their prayer life, and even teach the same. It is as if their destinies are attached to it.
The One that is least expected to have prayed, as He is God and has all the authorities of the universe under His subjection-Jesus Christ even did far more.
It is therefore not an exaggeration if I regard prayer as a determiner of our beautiful future and destiny. No matter the gravity of your vision; the brightness of your glory, and the height of your dreams and revelation, as long as it isn't subsidized with a quality prayer life, it would at best be an illusion in the ear of people and stay elusive, because it lacks the impetus to be transformed into reality.
People who failed to understand the significance of prayer to their destinies would suffer many troubles, rebuke, and blasphemy from people, and bring reproach to God instead of glory. They'd hear good prophecies that wouldn't come to pass in their day, and live below the expectation of God for their lives. The corresponding outcome that suppose to accompany their growth and age in Christ would be denied; they'll resign to fate and eventually died short of fulfillment.
In reference to the text for this instruction, king Hezekiah was a man Bible confirmed to live his life in total conformity to the pattern of God for a godly king in Israel and Judah, just like his great grand father David. He out shined his ancestors in godly living, as he destroyed all the molten images his fathers carved unto strange gods, and open the house door of the Lord for the worshiping of the true God. In his reign was many abandoned doctrines and epistles were recovered, and God's priests found their lost duty posts. The house of God was renovated, and the whole kingdom under his watch returned to God.
Nevertheless, there was a threat on the kingdom of Hezekiah by the most powerful kingdom of that time, Assyria. The king of Assyria was against Hezekiah and his kingdom; he was railing all forms of accusation and blasphemy messages against him and his God with a view to weaken his power and captured the kingdom the kingdom from his hand. But Hezekiah a secret weapon not available to most kings, and a God different from other gods of the earth which eventually made him to be more powerful.
There is a lesson I learnt from scenario which I want you to take note of, while Rabshakeh the Assyrian king servant was molesting the God of Israel, saying all forms of blasphemy words to God and king Hezekiah, you'd think God'd wrath from heaven and descend on him immediately, but the reverse was the case. There was no supernatural quake or move, everywhere was silent as if the Assyrian king was the one controlling the whole universe. The men of Hezekiah too could not say a word because Hezekiah had warned them not to reply a word.
In other words, the best way to handle your enemies is to keep silence against their mockery. Don't answer a fool so that you don't be like him is the counsel of God.
Secondly, whatever does not move you doesn't move God; and whatever move you in another way round don't move God until you report it to Him in prayer. While God was not ignorant of the enemy's assaults, He was waiting for His children to acknowledge Him as their vindicator and avenger. He doesn't expect anyone to fight His battle for Him, or act in His absent.
Had Hezekiah swallowed the words of Assyrian king and refuse to act in prayer, he and his kingdom would remained his subject and suffer a continual reproach, but his understanding of God's awesome power and intervention in prayer brought him amazing victory over his enemies... I'll continue later...keep watching out. I wish you a very wonderful and brightful morning in Jesus name.
