Check Your Status 

Bless thy Lord, O my soul, O Lord my God, thou art clothed with honor and majesty. Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain: Who layeth the beams of His chamber in the waters: who maketh the clouds His chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind: Who maketh His angel spirits: His minister a flaming of fire.

In continuation of the previous lesson being discussed over two weeks now. I sat back to realize that there are lots to know about “checking one’s status”, no matter things that might have been troubling you or your dignity or integrity that you have lost.

I will love to sentence my illustration based on the book of Psalm 104:29 which says “Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled: thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust”. Our God is a merciful creator that has compassion on His children and do not want them to be lost neither to miss the provision that has been laid down for them forever. From where we have read, we can be perplexed of what the context of the bible passage is taking about or what must I know from it. 

In the beginning God created our father and mother Adam and Eve, placed them in the Garden of Eden to enjoy and dominate over every animals and creeping things that creepeth upon the earth. Note this: God didn’t created us to be suffering, lamenting or responsible for every norms and cranny things happening to us presently in our country or life as an individual person. No privilege that is far better than for a father to have a genuine love and compassion for his children.

For instance, as a father who does not have time for his children neither does he take proper responsibility on them, it will be difficult and seems nuisance to the children for giving birth to them. Because there won’t be proper love and unity in the family whereby father is on his own, mother is on her own, likewise the children are on their own. God our father prove this to us when He created our father Adam, God has prepared everything that is needed of him to live a comfortable and prosperous life on earth. “For God has provided a better things for us, that things without us cannot be made perfect”.

As times goes on Adam and Eve are together enjoying the benefit of son-ship whereby we cry ‘Abba Father’, God Himself we come to them in the dawn play with them, dine with them, tell them series of stories till twilight and both love it . No matter how enjoyable, pleasant or worst your life maybe, there is one arch-rival who is ready and responsible to change everything upside down.

The fateful day for these two people is when the devil have chance to sneak into their life to disrupt the plan and the purpose of God for them. The greater mistake is to allow the devil to have chance into your life. Our adversary has neither power nor strength but he has way whereby to deceive and trick the elect of God away from the foundation that has been laid for them. Do not allow the devil to sneak into your life whether through friendship, relationship, affairs, business, ministry or any how it might be, because our adversary is longing and looking for spot hole where he can be able to perform his devilish desire and lust.

“Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled: thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust”. The worst thing is for God to hide His face from us! By the time the devil accomplished his deed in the life of this people, they discovered that their eye were opened and they were naked. God called Adam ‘where are you’ and Adam reply ‘I heard your voice and I was afraid’. This statement baffle me a lot because the voice Adam has been hearing not once, twice nor three times; but this fateful day he heard the same voice to the greatest surprise ‘he was afraid’. Which voice must you heard and be scared or afraid? Can you recognize the voice of God from the voice of the devil?

The status of this people before was that ‘they are dwelling in the secret place of the highest God’ but now the reverse is the case. My dear brethren are you still under the shadow of the almighty God or Is God still communicating with you as before? Adam and Even lost the presence of God and the dwelling place of God, since they have given room for the devil to undertake their privileges. God that this people can behold and see face to face, now becoming a terrible and fearful face to see. Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled! Adam and Even begin living their respective lives in fear and their souls were being troubled. The principal thing one must not lost “is the presence of God”. When you lost the presence of God, you lost everything and can never be regained hereafter. What is your status at the moment? Adam and Eve live an unfulfilled life because the devil deceived them and deprived them from their eternal glory.

In conclusion, the bible says “And God said everything that I created was good”! God created us in His own image, in the image of God created he/she. What pained me is that “for God to create us in His own likeness means we are special and most important in His sight, instead of receiving total blessing – God in His infinity mercy rain curse on our father and mother that day for the outcome of their disobedience against God and humanity” and that is the result of what we are facing till today (SIN => Success In Nothing)... what are the thing you are going that can bring the curse of God upon you and family?
